The highlight of the festival is the competition in which teams of five members each try to push a cart weighing several hundred kilos over a length of 1800 m (1970 yards) to reach the target within the shortest time possible. Apart from the teams from the neighbouring settlements, participants regularly come from Germany, Italy and Slovakia. The colourful programme complementing the contest gives all age groups the opportunity to spend their free time enjoyably. One attractive feature is the open-air market of handicraft products, where visitors can gain first-hand experience in the refined traditional skills of still surviving crafts and the eye-catchingly beautiful products of craftsmen.
